how to block telnet sesion
Let’s says you want to block telnet session, follow details :
# vi /etc/inetd.conf
*then put comment out ‘#’ below
#telnet stream tcp6 nowait root /usr/sbin/in.telnetd in.telnetd
*then stop and restart services
# ./S72inetsvc stop
# ./S72inetsvc start
*then put comment out ‘#’ below
#telnet stream tcp6 nowait root /usr/sbin/in.telnetd in.telnetd
*then stop and restart services
# ./S72inetsvc stop
# ./S72inetsvc start
then try to telnet, sure cannot. but you still can used other like putty.

putty pun tak boleh la kalau access thru port 23..
kalau port 22(ssh) should be no problem.. dengan syarat sshd running
